The story goes that Ralph Waldo Emerson said:

“If a man can write a better book, preach a better sermon, or make a better mousetrap than his neighbours, even if his house may be in the woods the world will beat a path to his door”...

The point being if you can make THE BEST product, you'll make THE MOST sales and have the biggest business.

Not so - if you have the most captivating, interesting and visual marketing message about your product...

(Provided that it's something people ACTUALLY WANT and does what you promise it will)...

You'll have the most sales and the biggest business.

How, then, do we make our marketing message easier to consume, more interesting for our audience and more likely to grab - and keep - their attention?

Firstly, we MUST use visual words and paint pictures for our audience - a great lesson we can learn from an advertising man called Elbert Hubbard (who actually wrote that Emerson quote above).

Secondly, we use the most appealing and powerful word in all marketing...

And finally we lean in with energy and enthusiasm.
